Albert G. Nasibulin, Dr. Sc., Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Head of the Laboratory of Nanomaterials, Professor at the Center for Photonic Science and Engineering of Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology.
Professor Albert G. Nasibulin graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry of Kemerovo State University in 1994. He received his Ph.D. in 1996 and his Doctor of Science (Engineering) degree in 2011 from Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University. Since 1999, he has worked at the Technical Research Centre of Finland (VTT Chemical Technology / VTT Processes) and at Aalto University (known as Helsinki University of Technology until 2010), first as a senior research scientist and later as an associate and adjunct professor at the Departments of Applied Physics and Chemistry and Materials Science. From 2006 to 2011, he served as an Academy Research Fellow of the Academy of Finland. Since 2014, Prof. Nasibulin has been a professor at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, where he heads the Laboratory of Nanomaterials.
He has supervised one Doctor of Science, 28 Ph.D., 83 M.Sc., and 14 B.Sc. theses. He has presented his research at a wide range of international conferences, symposia, and congresses, delivering 15 plenary presentations, 4 tutorial lectures, 57 invited talks, 50 oral presentations, and 53 seminars at universities and research institutions. Over the years, his contributions to research and teaching have been recognized by prestigious distinctions, including the title of Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Smoluchowski Award, and an award from the Finnish Association for Aerosol Research, the Gold Medal named after Academician I.V. Petryanov, as well as multiple Skoltech awards for teaching excellence, research advising, and overall impact on the university community.
Prof. Nasibulin is a co-founder of four companies commercializing scientific results. He conducts academic research and has authored over 400 peer-reviewed publications and 40 patents.
