about the program

The Applied Computational Mechanics program brings together mathematics, mechanics, physics, and cutting-edge computation to prepare students for tackling the most complex engineering challenges. Graduates of the program model the behavior of fluids, gases, and solids, develop mathematical and numerical methods, and apply machine learning and artificial intelligence to real-world problems.

We train a new generation of specialists — people who don’t just know how to use modern computational tools, but who build mathematical models and computational instruments from the ground up, shaping the future of science and industry. The curriculum includes advanced mathematical modeling, working with open-source software, physics-informed machine learning, and AI applications in materials technology. This unique combination of skills enables our graduates to lead and contribute to cutting-edge research while making a real impact in high-tech industries.
