On December 15, the President of Russia signed a decree “On conferring state awards of the Russian Federation.” Among the recipients were Skoltech scientists and staff, recognized for their significant contributions to the development of the Skolkovo Innovation Center.

Senior Vice President for Industrial Cooperation Alexey Ponomarev was awarded with the Order of Alexander Nevsky.

Second-class Medals of the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland” were granted to:

• Artem Abakumov, Distinguished Professor and Director of the Energy Center;

• Evgeny Burnaev, Professor, Vice President for Artificial Intelligence, and Director of the AI Center;

• Natalia Galochkina, Associate Dean of Education;

• Vladimir Drachev, Director of the Engineering Physics Center;

• Vladimir Kalyaev, Head of Projects for Development at the Research Facilities Center’s Fablab;

• Daria Romanova, Head of the Research Initiatives Support Department;

• Alexander Safonov, Senior Vice President for Development;

• Philipp Khaitovich, Director of the Neuro Center.

The state awards were presented by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Skolkovo Foundation Board of Trustees, Dmitry Medvedev.
