Evgeny Burnaev, the Director of Skoltech's AI Center, presented at the joint conference hosted by the "Rectorate" project (a strategic initiative of SberUniversity and the "School of Anthropology of the Future" at RANEPA, aimed at exploring new directions for university development) and the Alliance in Artificial Intelligence, titled "Data Economy and AI: New Demands for Universities and Businesses." During the session on "Research and Development in AI," Evgeny discussed key Russian developments in this field, citing projects under his leadership at Skoltech and the Institute of Artificial Intelligence.

Conference participants also engaged in discussions on the trends and current developments of AI in Russia, deliberating on the characteristics of a modern university capable of meeting the demands for AI talent development. Another focal point was the exploration of initiatives undertaken by universities and potential areas for growth in partnership with market-leading companies.

Among the most pressing tasks highlighted by conference attendees were the preparation and upskilling of university faculty in AI development and application, the assessment of educational programs, and the fostering of collaboration between companies and universities. The event saw the participation of over 70 delegates from 26 universities and major companies, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Economic Development and the Government of the Russian Federation.
