Welcoming remarks were delivered by Denis Stoliarov, Skoltech Dean of Students, Dmitry Kulish, Innovation Workshop Director, Lyana Dymova, Academic Programs Coordinator at the Gorchakov Fund, Aleksei Stanonis, Head of the Department for International Cooperation with Asian and African Countries at ANO Directorate of the World Youth Festival, and representative of ABS Electro Group, who noted the program’s importance for international scientific cooperation.

“InteRussia fellowship program provides participants from different countries with an opportunity to learn about cutting-edge Russian technologies, expand their knowledge, and strengthen their professional skills. The experience they gain will undoubtedly serve as a foundation for further career growth. We hope that this fellowship will be the first step toward long-term and meaningful cooperation,” Lyana Dymova, Academic Programs Coordinator at the Gorchakov Fund, said about the program.

“Skoltech’s Innovation Workshop is a practice-based platform for studying technological entrepreneurship and implementing innovation in real world conditions. I’m sure that international participants will not only learn a lot, but also have unforgettable experience working here in Russia, at Skoltech — one of the best emergent universities in the world,” noted Denis Stolyarov, Skoltech’s Dean of Students.

“Supporting talented young people is crucial for future breakthroughs in science and business. That is why partnering with the Gorchakov Fund and Skoltech fits organically into ABS Electro’s commitment to helping young specialists fulfill their potential. It is important for us to support initiatives aimed at fostering international dialogue among professionals. InteRussia connects talented people from different countries, and we are sure that this program won’t only be an educational opportunity for them, but also a platform for building long-lasting ties with partners,” emphasized Irina Kharisova, the President of ABS Electro Charity Foundation.

Fellows have already begun the Innovation Workshop, a rigorous bootcamp-style course in technological entrepreneurship. The program is based on a project-driven approach, and it will allow participants to go through all the stages of bringing technological solutions to life — from the initial idea to the finished product.

“Once I arrived for the InteRussia fellowship, I didn’t know what to expect. Crossing the Atlantic and moving to a distant country always requires a bit of courage, and that courage was truly rewarded at Skoltech. From the breathtaking campus to the cutting-edge facilities, everything here encourages us to be bold. I want to give my all to this program: to be bold, to innovate, to fail, and to try again. I’m looking forward to making the very best of this experience,” Julio Catta Preta Lemos (Brazil), one of the InteRussia fellows, shared his first impressions.

The InteRussia fellowship program for non-Russian specialists in STEM is implemented by the Mezhdunarodniki Autonomous Non-Profit Organisation in cooperation with the Gorchakov Fund, the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, and the Directorate of the World Youth Festival with support from ABS Electro Charity Foundation and the Presidential Grants Foundation.
