From September 27 to October 3, 2026, the Sirius University of Science and Technology will host the Russian Microelectronics Forum — a cross‑industry platform for the nation’s electronics sector, where strategic directions for the domestic electronic component base are shaped and breakthrough technological solutions are debated in the context of a new industrial reality. Over recent years, the forum has grown into one of the most significant high‑tech events in Russia — a venue where, at the highest level, strategies for achieving technological sovereignty in the critical fields of micro‑ and radioelectronics are formulated and refined. Participants discuss the progress of industry development programs, government support measures and ways to enhance investment attractiveness, tools for strengthening research and production ties, workforce development for the sector, and many other topics.
Speaking at the plenary session of the Russian Microelectronics Forum 2025, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin described the microelectronics industry as a strategically important area for the country, one that underpins technological sovereignty, drives the modern digital economy, and boosts the competitiveness of Russian products and services.
The 2025 forum, held in late September, brought together over 3,500 executives and specialists from leading manufacturing companies, development institutions, design centers, research organizations, universities, commercial firms, business communities, media, and bloggers. Delegates came from 141 cities across Russia, as well as from Belarus, Kazakhstan, and China.
Alongside the Prime Minister, the plenary session of Microelectronics 2025 featured speeches from First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, Presidential Aide Andrei Fursenko, Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov, Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov, and Roscosmos Director General Dmitry Bakanov.
Gennady Krasnikov, Chairman of the Forum’s Program Committee, Head of Russia’s Priority Technology Direction “Electronic Technologies”, President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, commented: "The 12th Russian Microelectronics Forum will traditionally open its doors to the industry community this September. A key part of the event will be consolidating practical experience and developing proposals for government bodies on advancing the electronics industry. Over several days, the Sirius venue will host roundtables, seminars, presentations of new technological solutions, and substantive scientific discussions with leading Russian scientists. In addition, the forum will feature an extensive exhibition program, which I am confident will impress all participants with its scale and showcase the industry's latest achievements.”
The forum is organized by NIIME and NIIMA Progress, with support from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
Alexander Kravtsov, Director General of NIIME, emphasized the uniqueness of the event: “The forum provides market participants with a unique opportunity to align their development with government plans, strengthen the collaboration between science and industry, build cooperative ties, and agree on joint projects, including those aimed at new domestic and international markets.
